Training to farmers on Bacteria Culture Trichoderma
Innovations being undertaken in Indore nursery
Work is being undertaken on research and uses of Bio Fertlizer /Vermicompost in the Khandwa Road nursery of Indore(MP). Bacteria Culture Trichoderma, etc. is being used in the preparation of bio-fertiliser for the preparation of plants. This has reduced the cost of preparing plants. Moreover, the use of chemical fertilisers and insecticides has almost come to an end.
With this innovation of the Forest Department, about 25 to 30 progressive farmers who will also be panchayat representatives, will have a one-day training and tour programme. For this, the Directorate of Panchayat Raj has written a letter to the Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat Indore to organise a tour of the Research Expansion Centre, Indore. He said that these innovations and the use of Bacteria Culture Trichoderma for increasing the fertilisation power of land and increasing agricultural production through organic farming will benefit the farmers.
Likewise, Jawaharlal Nehru Agricultural University Jabalpur (MP) has also asked the Krishi Vigyan Kendra to coordinate with the Research Expansion (Social Forestry) Forest Department through a letter. High quality forestry, fruit-bearing, medicinal and minor forest produce saplings are prepared by the offices of Research Expansion Circle operating in the state. These plants are made available to different departments, farmers and others. Farmers are given support from time-to-time on the subject of Forestry and Agriculture Forestry. Farmers of the state will be benefited by coordination of Agricultural Science Centers with Research Expansion Circles.
